Alana De La Garza has established herself as a household name on TV. The year was 1976. De La Garza was born to a Mexican-American father and an Irish-American mom in Columbus Ohio. Her best-known role was in Law & Order, where she played A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa. The actress appeared on the show 85 times. Later, she starred in the Law & Order: LA brief-lived sequel. The character of De La Garza received several nominations which included Best Supporting Actress for Television at the Imagen Foundation Awards. She also received ALMA Award nods. In 2008, she was awarded the Impact Award from the National Hispanic Media Coalition for Outstanding Performances for a Dramatic Television Series. De La Garza was then cast as a recurring actor in CSI Miami. She was Marisol Delko, the wife of the character of David Caruso Horatio Caine. She was the character Dr. Lena Solis in NBC's dark drama Do No Harm. After two episodes the series ended up being cancelled.
